The day before the NFL kicks off its 99th season, 44 former Alabama players hold places on active rosters in the league, with more than a third of the Crimson Tide alumni concentrated on three teams.
The Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Redskins have five Alabama players apiece on their active rosters.
In addition to the 44 active players, Alabama has placed seven players on NFL practice squads, and three former Crimson Tide players will start the season on the league's suspended list. Another ex-Alabama player is on injured reserve, giving the Tide a total of 55 players listed on NFL rosters.
