After Alabama’s commanding 56-0 victory over Eastern Illinois, perhaps the biggest storylines in the SEC grew even more as another Conor Talty kick did not go through the uprights.
The fans in Bryant-Denny Stadium expressed their displeasure by booing Talty as he made his way to the sideline, something that disappointed head coach Kalen DeBoer. This turned into Talty getting booed before making his extra points, and when other kicks came onto the field to kick, a decent number of Alabama fans erupted like a touchdown was scored.
This led to DeBoer saying he wished the fans had Talty’s back like he knew the players did, and on Monday, DeBoer elaborated on how Alabama players are reacting to Talty’s missed field goals.
