How Alabama and college football fans reacted to Auburn hiring Bryan Harsin as head coach

The Auburn Tigers have hired its 27th head coach in school history in now former Boise State Broncos head coach, Bryan Harsin. The Tigers, who fired Gus Malzahn following its final regular season win over Mississippi State, spent the past week searching for Malzahn’s replacement to no avail.

Harsin, did not appear to be the Tigers’ primary choice for a replacement, had a 62-14 record at Boise State, including three Mountain West Conference championships, and three bowl game wins. Prior to his tenure with the Broncos, he was the successor to Malzahn at Arkansas State, who coincidentally left to take the Auburn job in 2013.
