After eight straight seasons in the NFL playoffs, the Green Bay Packers missed the postseason for 2017, when they posted a 7-9 record.
An injury that limited quarterback Aaron Rodgers to seven games got most of the blame for Green Bay's downturn. But the Packers also seemed to miss the signal-caller's leadership.
"We have high expectations of our locker room," Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. "It's been so strong for so many years. In comparison to the other 11 years (of McCarthy's tenure), it wasn't the best clearly. Enough wasn't done in the locker room, frankly.
