Alabama dominated most of the box score over the weekend. The Crimson Tide outgained Oklahoma 406-212, held a 23-12 advantage in first downs and limited the Sooners to just 3 of 13 on third-down attempts.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma won the scoreboard.
The Sooners capitalized when it mattered most, using three Alabama turnovers to upset the Tide 23-21 on Saturday. The loss serves as Kalen DeBoer’s first inside Bryant-Denny Stadium and one of his most frustrating defeats during his two seasons at the helm.
“I just feel like throughout the game, we really didn’t feel like we couldn’t move the ball, felt like we couldn’t put it in the end zone,” DeBoer said.
