George Teague adds a humorous touch in attempt to get verified on Twitter

He did not give up when fans inside the Louisiana Superdome thought Lamar Thomas was gone for a touchdown in the 1993 Sugar Bowl (1992 National Championship Game) between Alabama and Miami.

Thomas was fast, but George Teague had a drive that would not be denied.

He ran Thomas down, stripped the ball from him, and propelled the Crimson Tide to a 34-13 victory. Teague is carrying the same resilient approach to social media. He has yet to become verified on Twitter, but the Alabama legend is pursuing the illustrious blue check. He’s recently added a humorous touch to make sure he gets noticed.
