Auburn is one of three SEC teams that controls its destiny.
The question, however, is if Auburn runs the table would the College Football Playoff Selection Committee reward the Tigers for wins over No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Alabama, then a repeat performance in the SEC Championship against the Bulldogs?
Gary Danielson, analyst for the SEC on CBS who will call Auburn-Georgia on Saturday at 2:30, said the answer to that is yes.
"I think they can," Danielson told me Wednesday on The Opening Kickoff on WNSP-FM 105.5. "I think they'll be upsets, obviously."
He points to a couple of things as to reasons why they can beat Georgia and Alabama:
