Former Tide receiver Tyrone Prothro lands second high school coaching job

One of the most electrifying individuals to come through the University of Alabama will continue making an impact in football. After coaching wide receivers at Spanish Fort High School, former Tide star Tyrone Prothro has landed a role with receivers at Jasper High School.

News came Thursday via PrepsNet – a high school sports site – as Prothro looks to help Vikings’ head coach Brian Moore achieve success. A native of Heflin, Ala., he emerged in Mike Shula’s 2003 recruiting class as a three-star after having a strong career at Cleburne County School.

He came in as an explosive athlete and at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Prothro brought smiles to Alabama fans inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
