Former Alabama RB Shaun Alexander to be inducted in Seahawks’ Ring of Honor

Shaun Alexander is one of the most revered Alabama football players of all time.

He dominated the 1990s in Tuscaloosa during a time when the Crimson Tide was not winning national championships.

He was a two-time 1,000-yard rusher in four years, including a single-season school record 1,383 yards in 1999.

Alexander carried the Tide to a Southeastern Conference Championship in ’99, while getting first-team All-SEC, first-team All-American, and SEC Player of the Year honors. Alexander is third all-time for career rushing yards (3,565) and third for rushing touchdowns (41) in school history. He turned in a nine-year career in the National Football League, including eight seasons (2000-07) with the Seattle Seahawks.
