Former Alabama linebacker and current assistant Denzel Devall has received his second promotion since joining Nick Saban’s staff in July.
Devall, who was hired as the Tide’s first player development personnel assistant and eventually promoted to assistant strength and conditioning coach in January, was elevated to director of player development last week, according to Bastrop Daily Enterprise.
The former linebacker has taken on numerous responsibilities, most notably assisting with recruiting.
“As player personnel assistant, I recruited, evaluated film and helped with player development — a little bit of everything,” Devall said.
He’s also handled a mentor role with Alabama’s current roster.
