Former Alabama head coach: Nick Saban ‘makes it look easy’

One of Nick Saban’s head coaching predecessors has some high praise for the incumbent Alabama coach.

Mike DuBose, who coached the Crimson Tide for four seasons from 1997-2000, was asked about Saban at the Alabama High School Athletic Association summer conference in Montgomery on Wednesday.

“His greatest strength is recruiting,” DuBose told AL.com. “I think he’s the greatest recruiting head coach in the country. Then, he’s able to develop them and manage them. … The thing that impresses me about what Nick has been able to accomplish is his ability to get the coaches and players to be dedicated to the team concept.
