Eagles’ WR DeVonta Smith to miss a couple of weeks with minor knee injury

DeVonta Smith will be taking it easy through the rest of training camp for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was evaluated for an injury he suffered last week, and the results showed a sprained knee. He had an MRI done on Sunday, and reports have confirmed a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL). Smith will miss a couple of weeks, but it is nothing serious. He will be ready to go in the Eagles’ season opener. Before the injury, he has performed well through three practices.

The No. 10 overall pick of this year’s NFL Draft caught seven passes, including three for touchdowns on 10 targets.
