Dolphins will not play QB Tua Tagovailoa in preseason game versus Bengals

After having a great performance against the Atlanta Falcons, Tua Tagovailoa will not play in Sunday’s preseason matchup for Miami against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dolphins’ head coach Brian Flores spoke to reporters after Thursday’s joint practice versus the Bengals.

He the team will rest its starters to get them prepared for the regular season. Tagovailoa is much better entering his second NFL season. He is healthy again and turned in a successful training camp. His connection has grown with the receivers, and he is comfortable with the offensive coaches Miami has. During his second preseason game, the former Alabama quarterback completed 16 of 23 passes for 183 yards with one touchdown.
