D.J. Fluker announces that he’s been released by the Seattle Seahawks

Despite it being a happy and dream fulfilling time for college athletes who have gotten drafted into the NFL, it is also a bitter reality for some veterans. And that bitterness spread to former Alabama offensive lineman D.J. Fluker.

On Sunday, Fluker announced via Twitter that the Seattle Seahawks had released him.

Fluker’s time in Seattle was running out once the team used it’s third round pick on LSU guard Damien Lewis, who is now expected to take up the starting job on the offensive line.

Fluker had spent the previous two seasons in Seattle and started all 14 games he appeared in for the Seahawks in 2019.
