Russell Moore and the ERLC are at it again—attacking good Southern Baptists. As the Fourth of July approaches, the ERLC tweeted out a typical Russell Moore special—sharp rhetoric directed at anyone who disagrees with him. In this case, it involves 2 Chronicles 7:14. Many Southern Baptists believe 2 Chronicles can be interpreted to apply to God’s people today, but not Russell Moore. For him, to believe that is “theological liberalism.”
The ERLC tweeted, “”2 Chronicles 7:14 isn’t talking about America or national identity or some generic sense of ‘revival.’ To apply the verse this way is, whatever one’s political ideology, theological liberalism.
