Watch out, NFC East: Da'Ron Payne has arrived.
"He missed a little bit of time with his injury, but the little bit we saw in OTAs and what we've seen so far, we feel very confident Da'Ron Payne's going to be a force in this division for a lot of years," Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden said after the former Alabama standout played in an NFL preseason game for the first time on Thursday night.
The defensive tackle joined Washington as the 13th player picked in the 2018 NFL Draft. He suffered an ankle injury on July 27 during a training-camp practice.
