Cyrus Jones could be doing more than playing defense for Alabama

Senior cornerback Cyrus Jones isn’t a stranger to having the ball in his hands. The converted wide receiver grabbed five interceptions in the last two seasons, but he’ll likely see the ball even more this fall as UA’s punt returner, and, if called upon, as a wide receiver, too.

Jones served as backup punt returner to Christion Jones last season, and he played wide receiver his freshman season in 2012. Needless to say, Jones is comfortable with the ball in his hands. He caught four passes for 51 yards as a freshman and saw action in 11 games.
