Pastor James Pittman of New Hope Community Church of Palatine, Illinois announced on YouTube his intention to leave the Southern Baptist Convention over the leadership of J.D. Greear on issues of LGBTQ rights.

Pittman explains he joined the SBC during the time when Southern Baptists boldly declared “This is what the Bible says” about marriage, homosexuality and similar issues.
