Brent Venables gives thoughts on Alabama football’s red zone efficiency

Alabama football has been fairly productive in the red zone this season, converting 92 percent of its trips into points.

The Crimson Tide has made 38 trips to the red zone. They have come up with points on 35 of those trips with 20 passing scores, eight rushing scores and seven field goals.

Oklahoma’s head coach Brent Venables, who is a respected defensive mind, is well aware of the Tide’s ability to score in the red zone.

“They’re very efficient,” Venables said. “They can stay out of the negative plays there.
