Breaking: Seahawks Defensive Tackle Jarran Reed Undergoes Surgery

According to Ian Rapoport, Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed underwent surgery this morning to fix a sports hernia. Reed’s surgery was performed by Dr. William Meyers in Philidelphia and is expected to be ready for training camp in 4-6 weeks.

The former second-round pick was one of Seattle’s best defensive players in 2018. He recorded 50 tackles and 10.5 sacks in his first season as a true starter.

Reed will likely be the teams next big contractual decision in the near future as he has proved to be an important part of their front seven.
