Ty Lockwood has announced his commitment to Alabama football Tuesday, flipping his pledge from the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Lockwood is the Crimson Tide’s first tight-end pledge and their 18th commit in the 2023 recruiting class. He was verbally committed to the Buckeyes for almost a year before the Crimson Tide offered him Friday during a visit. Touchdown Alabama caught up with the rising senior in February of 2021 before he was on Alabama’s radar and got his thoughts on the Tide.
“It is a great school,” Lockwood said. “They reign supreme right now, and they have for the past ten years.
