GORDO | A pair of young boys manned the entrance of the Gordo High School gymnasium on Wednesday morning. Dressed in green and gold, they passed out National Signing Day programs to every person that walked through the doors.
"Welcome to Gordo," the boys said in unison.
For a brief moment, the entire nation, including visiting media, caught a glimpse of the Gordo community — a small town in Pickens County with a deep-rooted love for the game of football — when senior linebacker Ben Davis announced his decision to play for the University of Alabama live on ESPN U.
