To keep pace with its SEC rivals, Auburn football spends millions and millions of dollars every year on recruiting.

The athletic department then spends millions more to train those players once they arrive on campus.

In addition to all the expenses incurred trying to turn high school potential into collegiate ability, Auburn pays a fortune in student housing, tutoring and dining. Every school in the SEC spends an obscene amount of money on football in the SEC. What an enormous waste it is then when a player like receiver Nate Craig-Myers transfers during the middle of his junior season.
