Not too far into the 2017 NFL season, it's likely Atlanta Falcons All-Pro Julio Jones will supplant Don Hutson as the most prolific NFL receiver among Alabama's football alumni.
Hutson has been the former Crimson Tide player with the most NFL receiving yards since 1935, his rookie season, when he passed Haleyville's Ben Smith at the top of the Alabama list with 420 yards on 18 receptions.
When Hutson completed his pro career in 1945, he held the NFL record for receiving yards with 7,991. While that's now 92nd in league history, it has stood as the most for a former Alabama player through all these years.
