Defending national champion Alabama opens fall camp August 4, and while there really isn’t much to worry about defensively, there are some offensive issues that the Tide needs to solve in the run-up to its September 3 season-opener against USC in Arlington, Texas.
The offensive backfield will be in the spotlight during camp – and that will carry over into September, too.
Here’s a look at Alabama’s three biggest position battles in fall camp.
3. Running back
The participants: Sophomore Damien Harris vs. sophomore Bo Scarbrough
The skinny: The Nick Saban era has seen Glen Coffee, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, T.
