According to the initial SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report, LT Overton will not play in the SEC Championship game against Georgia.
Overton is a starter on Alabama’s defense and plays the Bandit position in Kane Wommack’s 4-2-5 “Swarm” defense, and he’s made an impact this year, especially in the Crimson Tide’s first game against Georgia earlier in the season.
So far in 2025, Overton has 33 total tackles and four sacks. Perhaps his best performance was in the Georgia game as he racked up six total tackles and made the clutch tackle on Georgia’s final drive as he tackled Cash Jones to get a stop on fourth down.
