Alabama secondary shuts down WKU pass attack

Western Kentucky's offense made no pretense about how it would attack the University of Alabama defense. The first play Saturday was an incomplete deep pass to wide receiver Taywan Taylor. The second play was a screen to Taylor. The third play was a pass, too.

So were the next three plays after that.

"They've done that before in the past," Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick said. "We kind of expected that to happen."

None of those passes could help the Hilltoppers move the chains. That was the case for much of the game.
