Alabama senior safety Eddie Jackson left Saturday’s game against Texas A&M with a left leg injury.
Jackson was injured after he was tackled hard on a 17-punt return early in the fourth quarter against the Aggies.
Jackson was carted into the locker room after the play and did not appear likely to return. CBS reported during the game broadcast that he had injured his left leg and was not putting any pressure on it.
Jackson, one of the team’s top defensive players, was a second-team All-America and first-team All-SEC selection last season.
Jackson tore his ACL in April 2014 following his freshman season but returned in time for the start of his sophomore year that fall.
