As college football settles into Year 3 of the ill-timed Early Signing Period (aka ESP), it would appear that Alabama head coach Nick Saban has already mastered it.
It is unclear why the NCAA felt it necessary to establish this new period right in the most vital part of the season. Perhaps it was yet another attempt to slow down Saban. Guess what. It didn’t work.
I hear some of you fans out there worrying that Alabama won’t close well. They don’t have to! It seems like I say this every year, but this class is already shaping up to be another historically great one.
