Alabama head coach Nick Saban gave some concrete and unfortunate updates on injured running back Roydell and wide receiver JoJo Earle who left the team’s previous game against New Mexico State with injuries.
Earle will only be missing a few weeks and will have a chance to return for postseason play, but Williams will be lost for the season.
“We lost two guys. JoJo will be out two or three weeks probably. Roydell is going to be out for the duration (of the season),” Saban said on his Thursday radio show.
The loss of Williams is a crushing blow for the Crimson Tide as it is down to only two healthy running backs on its roster in Brian Robinson and Trey Sanders.
