Alabama went through its final full practice of Missouri week on Wednesday.
Here are some notes from the open portion of practice:
-- Left guard Lester Cotton, who from what I've heard suffered a minor injury during practice on Tuesday, was out at practice but wasn't participating in drills. Deonte Brown was the first-team left guard. With Brown working with the first-team, the two second-team guards were Josh Casher and freshman Emil Ekiyor.
-- The new first-team dime defense consists of Saivion Smith and Patrick Surtain at cornerback, Shyheim Carter at nickel back, Xavier McKinney at dime back and Deionte Thompson and Jared Mayden at safety.
