Only one team has scored at least 40 points against New England in the Patriots' past 88 regular-season games -- the Kansas City Chiefs, who did it for the third time on Sunday night. But it wasn't enough for the Chiefs to win as New England pulled out a 43-40 victory with a field goal on the game's final snap.
Defensive highlights were overwhelmed by the offensive fireworks in the game, but New England linebacker Dont'a Hightower made a couple of plays that helped slow down the Chiefs' track meet and give Kansas City its first loss of the season.
