The unfortunate news of the passing of former University of Alabama running back Altee Tenpenny hit his old teammates particularly hard Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, many of them taking to social media to remember a friend’s life taken too soon.
Tenpenny died as the result of a single car accident in Mississippi on Tuesday afternoon, a Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman said.
Tenpenny was a member of the Crimson Tide from 2013-14 and left the team in January to enroll at UNLV. After being dismissed from there he ultimately landed at Nicholls State. He had recently been indefinitely suspended from Nicholls State after being arrested on charges of possession of a firearm and discharging a weapon.
