Alabama reserve quarterback David Cornwell announced Wednesday that he is transferring out of the program.
Cornwell, the No. 4-ranked pocket passer in the 2014 ESPN 300, is the third quarterback to transfer since freshman Jalen Hurts established himself as the Crimson Tide's starter this season. Blake Barnett left the program in late September and recently announced his transfer to Arizona State; backup Cooper Bateman is planning to transfer also, according to AL.com
Cornwell announced his intentions on Twitter:
A 6-foot-5, 228-pound sophomore, Cornwell did not attempt a pass in his time in Tuscaloosa.
