The Heisman Trophy is treated as if it were the Ark of the Covenant. Don’t stare directly into it or your face will melt off. After the first four games of the season, many who think they understand what goes into winning the Heisman are predicting that Alabama football QB Tua Tagovailoa will be the recipient. That’s all fine and well if they believed that context and nuance were key ingredients for the Heisman voters in picking a winner.
I think most of us know better than that, though.
