Just days after losing Tyrell Shavers to the Transfer Portal, Alabama football loses another wide receiver. This time it is Chad Townsend, a RB/WR hybrid from Tanner, Alabama.
According to his Twitter post, Townsend will take his two years of eligibility elsewhere. It is not sure where he will exactly go, but he has played his last snap for the Crimson Tide.
This is sad for Alabama football fans, but it is likely for the best. As a running back, Townsend was not going to see many snaps behind Najee Harris, Brian Robinson, Trey Sanders, and Keilan Robinson.
