Peter Woods, a five-star defensive lineman, verbally committed to Clemson over Alabama, Florida, and Jackson State.
Woods is arguably the top in-state defensive prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He is a dynamic lineman for Thompson High School (Alabaster, Ala.), and has won multiple state championships. Woods has been a diehard Crimson Tide fan since childhood and has held a scholarship offer from Alabama since the ninth grade. His former high school teammates, Jeremiah Alexander and Tre’Quon Fegans, are enrolled as freshmen at Alabama. Tony Mitchell, Woods’ teammate at Thompson, has verbally committed to the Tide for the 2023 class.
