Alabama excited to have ‘difference maker’ on track to be at full go in Rose Bowl

Alabama football is happy to have LT Overton back on the football field after playing without him in its last two games.

Overton has been sidelined with what was described as an illness since the SEC Championship game. The last game he participated in was against Auburn in the Iron Bowl. He was recently cleared to return to practice, and the Tide’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack was pumped to hear the news.

“That’s an awesome blessing, just for LT,” Wommack said. “It’s awesome for us.”

The veteran defensive lineman now needs to have some good days of practice ahead of Thursday’s playoff matchup against Indiana to ensure he will be able to play in the game.
