Of the 14 Alabama players invited to this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, defensive back Tony Brown may be the most intriguing.
He has legit track speed; he ran the 100 in 10.12 seconds in the NCAA Championships last summer. Brown should light up the 40 at the combine.
At 6 feet 0 and 198 pounds, Brown is well put together physically; he’ll likely turn heads on the bench press.
He arrived at Alabama as a five-star recruit from Beaumont, Texas, didn’t live up to that billing, but still found a role in the secondary, won a couple of national titles and should put up big numbers at the combine.
