If you were looking for a pitcher’s duel mixed in with some exciting drama at the end, then Friday night’s action at The Joe was just for you as the Alabama baseball team took the opening game of a three-game series against North Dakota with a score of 2-1.
Awesome pitching was on display with both teams doing a great job on the mound keeping runs at a minimum. In fact, the first run of the game would not come until the bottom of the sixth inning when Alabama scored to take a 1-0 lead over the Fighting Hawks of North Dakota.
