Alabama adds assistant strength coach, Drew Svoboda’s new role unveiled

Alabama football added a new face to its strength and conditioning staff.

Rick Danison joins the Crimson Tide as an assistant strength coach. He made the news official via social media, coming over from Michigan State University. Danison was the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning for two years with the Spartans.

He served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Indiana for nearly 11 years. Danison was hired in July 2009 and served until March 2020. He became part of the David Ballou and Dr. Matt Rhea duo. Rhea departed to the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League.
