One by one, Nick Saban listed nearly every football program in the SEC when talking about teams in the league that he respects at SEC Media Days. The list topped double digits — but there was no mention of Auburn.
That wasn’t an accident, said former Tigers kicker Al Del Greco, now a sports talk show host in Birmingham, Ala.
“When he started the list and each name was called off, I was listening and I kept (thinking), ‘OK. OK. OK. Is he going to say it?’ ” Del Greco said. “And he didn’t. There’s the rivalry part of that.
