After slow start, Alabama offense breaks through

STARKVILLE, Miss. | The University of Alabama’s offense endured frustration, stagnation and tedium on Saturday. Then it exploded for three long touchdowns, flashing persistence, vigor and control.

After a rambling, unproductive start against Mississippi State, the offense regained its grasp. All three of the Crimson Tide’s offensive touchdowns in its 31-6 win over the Bulldogs came on explosive plays.

“I think our team showed a lot of resiliency today to keep competing in the game even when things weren’t going very well,” head coach Nick Saban said. “The way we started out the game, we didn’t move the ball much.
