AUBURN | Adam Griffith hasn’t forgotten about Kick Six, the last play of the Iron Bowl two years ago, when Auburn returned his long field goal miss 100 yards for a game-winning touchdown to derail the University of Alabama’s quest for a third straight national championship.
The Crimson Tide’s junior kicker from Poland by way of Calhoun, Ga., did everything possible Saturday to put it in the past. Griffith made five field goals, including a 50-yarder, at Jordan-Hare Stadium to help Alabama to a 29-13 Iron Bowl victory.
“I feel like everybody’s talked about that too much, Kick Six,” he said after the game.
