A-List No. 10: 4-star receiver Henry Ruggs inspired, motivated by memory of close friend

The late Rod Scott's legacy shines around Lee High School in Montgomery in many ways.

Maybe none better than in the personality of Henry Ruggs III.

Scott, a star basketball player for the Generals set to play at Jacksonville State, died March 4, a day after an automobile crash on Interstate 65 while riding with friends to a high school basketball game in Birmingham.

Ruggs, also a star basketball player but one whose future lies as a football player, knew Scott since fourth grade and became close friends when Ruggs was a freshman and Scott a sophomore.
