More and more, Kalen DeBoer is starting to get "it" as it pertains to being the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. His comments before fall camp pointed to a man who fully understands the weight of the job he undertook. He knows what it's going to take now, week by week, to get Alabama back to the standard that was set by so many former legendary players to come through the program.
He also understands the value of having those former, legendary players around the program. When you have an alumni base, particularly from the Nick Saban era, that is littered with former collegiate and NFL stars, having them hang around practice resonates with the current crop of players.
