Former Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones on Thursday served as the keynote speaker at a luncheon to benefit the Firehouse Shelter, which provides homeless men in Birmingham housing, meals, counseling and other services. Jones threw in several Auburn jokes - he asked if any Auburn fans were in attendance at The Harbert Center, adding, "You know, it only takes a few to run the bunch." The son of a former Tide basketball letterman, Jones also talked about his transformation from a fourth grade basketball player who was six to eight inches taller than his teammates but failed to score a point during the season.
