Five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson will make one of the most anticipated announcements of this coming Wednesday's National Signing Day, and the Alabama Crimson Tide may like what they hear after a "great" in-home visit by offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, and others on Thursday.
“I can’t tell you what all was said, but it went great," Jefferson's father, Leo, said via 247Sports. "Alabama has a great group of guys that have been around him enough. It was just a normal visit. There wasn’t much different since he knows pretty much everything that he needs to know. They just said that they would love to have him and he is a great guy and that sort of thing. They didn’t put anything new in there. CeCe has an awesome relationship with the Alabama coaches. He has a great relationship with all of the people that are around him. Of course he was excited to have both Coach Kiffin and Coach Smart there together, you would be too. Normally you don’t get both coordinators in one spot. He was excited. Coach Kiffin is an Alabama coach, so he is recruiting regardless of what position he coaches. He just told him that he is what Alabama wants.”
Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, and Alabam are consider the four favorites in pursuit of Jefferson, but there's a fifth candidate lurking who will host him this weekend.
“We are visiting LSU this weekend and on Monday night we are going to narrow it down to three schools and do some more thinking about it and hopefully by Tuesday night we will know where he is going and call the coaches and let them know that’s what it is.”
