CLEVELAND, Ohio – Junior Sophia Geier (Burgebrach, Germany) was named the Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week and the duo of junior Carli Knezevich (Austin, Texas) and senior Karolina Maksimova (Mogilev, Belarus) received the MAC Doubles Team of the Week honor, as announced by league officials on Wednesday afternoon.
Geier helped the Zips pick up wins over Milwaukee and Binghamton with a pair of victories in both singles and doubles action. The junior posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Milwaukee's Labina Petrovska and took a 6-0, 6-4 decision against the Bearcats' Annie DiMuro.
