BOWLING GREEN, Ohio– The Akron softball team swept a pair of Mid-American Conference games at Bowling Green on Friday at Meserve Field.
The Zips won, 6-1 and 3-2. With four consecutive wins, UA improved to 25-25 overall and 11-9 in the MAC. The Falcons fell to 23-28 overall and 9-10 in MAC play.
"We're very happy with two big wins today," said UA head coach Julie Jones. "Lexie (Handley) did a great job of coming in relief in game two and keeping us in it to give us a chance to win. We hit the ball well in game one and scored enough to win game two.
